Jan 14, 2013 - Dr. Mike Galdzicki has built a better interface of the database, which can be found here: http://igem.synbioreview.com/all/ and also in the sidebar links of Bio! as "iGEM History Database". As of today, most of the 2012 iGEM teams should be up. Feel free to edit your team's info and make suggestions!

Jul 10, 2012 - The update is ready! We reviewed and changed all the "keywords" to "categories" and "subcategories". So far, we have labeled only the main project of each team checking their wikis individually and classifying them trying to be as much objective as we could. We also completed all of the missing projects. The side projects of the team's will be completed in an upcoming update.
Nevertheless, the classification has been very challenging! This is the case specially for projects that bring together a number of different procedures and applications.
All the information in the database has been meticulously gathered and classified with good faith, but of course, we may have made some mistakes, so if you think that your team's project has been labeled wrongly, feel free to let us know!

The second release of the Bio! iGEM History is on its beta version. We have updated it with the iGEM 2011 results and with prize information. Information for some teams is still under development.The database file may work better as an Excel sheet, using the filter functions to navigate the keyword columns.

The team UANL and Bio! are proud to present one great product of their enthusiasm and labor: the Bio! iGEM History Database.
In this database is contained each of the projects presented in the iGEM competitions from 2007 to 2011.
The projects are classified according to each team's name and year, and also keywords that represent the project's main topic (i.e., biosensors, synthetic circuits, health, etc.), which can be easily filtered. The medals, a brief description and wikis URL are also enlisted.
We hope that this database will help and inspire the new generations of iGEMers, giving them a landscape of what can be done, specially in the process of brainstorming and project generation. This database is as well intended to be a reliable and friendly information source for the general public that wish to get closer to Synthetic Biology.
This is the first version of the database. Some projects are still missing, because of time zone differences among collaborators, but it will be continuously refreshed during this week.
If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us! This has been a really interesting work. Stay tuned with Bio! and the database updates.
